Why use a contractor?
Time is money. Signature Swine delivers exceptional value because our people have the experience to help out in any situation - without investing a bunch of time and effort to train them. They make an instant difference, without the need for a long-term commitment. It’s the extra hand you need to buy some time to hire the right person or improve morale while going through a challenging time.
Is hiring a temp expensive?
In general, you can expect to pay 1.5-2x the hourly salary of a regular staff member. Depending on location, there may also be some travel cost. GST is charged according to Canadian law.
This is the total cost. There won’t be any surprise add-ons. You will know the final cost before your booking is confirmed.
How do I guarantee coverage for my needs?
The best way to guarantee coverage for an upcoming event is to book in advance - the sooner, the better. Signature Swine has a limited number of techs available, assigned on a first come, first served basis. While we strive to provide service to any farm needing help, and can often accommodate even last-minute requests, there are no guarantees without advance booking.
What if I have to cancel?
As long as a short-term booking (1-5 days) is canceled at least 7 days in advance of the agreed start date, there will be no charge. Longer-term booking cancelations and cancelations <7 days pre-start will incur a fee of up to 50% of the projected total cost of the job.
